Helios at the Salvador Dali Museum
The Helios Jazz Orchestra performs at the Salvador Dali Museum on Tuesday, November 24 at 8 PM. The concert includes works by Charles Mingus, Mario Bauza, Horace Silver, David Manson and more. Helios at Peace Memorial 10/11
The Helios Jazz Orchestra will perform at Peace Memorial Church on their Concert Series - Sunday, October 11 at 3 PM. With the sizzle of a solar flare, the Helios Jazz Orchestra will thrill you with its full sound and selections from Gershwin to Count Basie. This 20 piece Big Band is under the baton of trombonist David Manson of SPC. Some of its talented members have performed with the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Torme, Burt Bacharach and Henry Mancini. As Clearwater prepares for its big jazz fest the following week, come swing along with the sounds of the Helios Jazz Orchestra. Free will donation.

FREE Concert - September 15
The Helios Jazz Orchestra is performing its most difficult instrumental works on Tuesday, September 15 at the SPC Music Center. The concert begins at 7:30 PM.
The selections include arrangements and compositions by Charles Mingus, Steve Speigel, Tom Jobim and more. The SPC Music Center is located at the corner of 5th Ave. North & 66th St. in St. Petersburg.

The Helios Jazz Orchestra is performing on Sunday, August 16 at 3 PM at the SPC Music Center.
Eddie Rosicky and Rita Wilson are the featured singers. Selections include “Witchcraft”, “Black Coffee”, “Agua de Beber”, “Gravy Waltz” and others.

Helios at the Palladium - July 12

The Helios Jazz Orchestra, (directed by David Manson), presents an afternoon of jazz at the Palladium Theater on Sunday, July 12 at 3 PM. Rita Wilson is the featured vocalist for this concert that will include Swing, Latin and Bebop selections.

Kevin Mahogany & the Helios Jazz Orchestra - May 31

Kevin Mahogany, one of the premier vocalists in jazz, is the headliner for WMNF's debut Jazz Jam. He will be backed by the sixteen-piece modern big band, The Helios Jazz Orchestra.
With eleven CD's as a leader, and quite a few as a sideman, Kevin has proved to be the quintessential jazz vocalist. Newsweek describes him as " the standout jazz vocalist of his generation." New Yorker magazine writer Whitney Balliet writes, "There is little Mahogany cannot do." Says the LA TIMES, " Mahogany is one of the first truly gifted male vocalists to emerge in years."
The event starts at 4 PM on Sunday, May 31. Kevin Mahogany & Helios perform at 9 PM.
